Rohan Mustafa’s brilliant performance helped Team Chauraha Dhangadhi to seal the title of Ruslan Dhangadhi Premier League 2018, beating Kathmandu Goldens by 21 runs in the final.

Chasing the target of 182 runs set by Dhangadhi, Goldens found themselves 22 runs short of required task. Lalit Bhandari and Rohan Mustafa played vital role to stopped Goldens batsmen from crossing the finishing rope. Lalit Bhandari picked up 3 wickets in his worthy bowling spell of 4 overs, expensing 22 runs. He claimed valuable wickets of Bhati, Malla and Budayair. His fellow, Rohan Mustafa sent back Sunny Patel and Rashid Khan. Where Sheikh and Karki chipped in with a wicket each. Amit Shrestha gave his best effort with 39ball- 59 runs, opening the inning for Goldens. He slammed 7 fours and 3 sixes. Malla (30), Patel (22) and Budayair (14) were other notable contributor with the bat for Goldens.

Earlier, Sompal Kami asked his troops to bat first. Although, they lost Ashfaq Ahmed (04) very early but 142 runs stand for second wicket between Sunil Dhamala and Rohan Mustafa swung the pendulum to Dhangadhi’s favour. They consumed 90 balls together to do so. Must underrated players of Nepal, Dhamala scored 78 runs from 63 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes beside his name. On another end, Mustafa smashed 60 runs from 42 balls with the help of 4 fours ans sixes respectively. They didn’t let any work for rest batsmen as Dhangadhi finished with 181 runs in stipulated 20 overs, losing 4 wickets. Despite of being off day for Golden’s bowlers, Bhati bowled exceptionally well to procured the figure of (4-0-17-2). He claimed the wicket of Sunil Dhamala and Sonu Tamang.

This is the second time that Team Chauraha Dhangadi has become the champion of Dhangadhi Premier League.
