Goldens placed themselves in the final of Ruslan DPL2

Patel and Bhati’s heroic helped Goldens to confirm their spot in the final of Ruslan Dhangadhi Premier League 2018.

Golden’s skipper, Malla asked United to bat first. Sunny Patel proved it very worthy with 6 wickets inside 5 overs. Patel trapped Binod Bhandari (00) in front of wicket in second ball of very first over. He again continued his second over, started with Aarif Sheikh’s (00) wicket and concluded with wicket of Hari Shankar Shah (00). His third over was even bigger as he claimed three more wickets in it, he sent back Bista (07) in third ball, dismissed Rohit Paudel (00) and Bhuwan Karki (00) in fifth and sixth ball respectively, which helped him to procured the mouth-watering figure of (4-1-10-6). Patel’s exceptional spell reduced United to 10-6 inside 5 overs which thinner United chances in the match, then Mehra joined Sheikh and took charge over opposition to shared 85 runs stand. Mehra smashed 4 fours and 4 sixes respectively to summed up his 42 ball-58 runs. His fellow, Sheikh scored 43 runs from 39 balls with the help of 4 fours and a six. In the end, Karan KC played handy cameo to propelled United’s total to 142 runs. He scored 21 runs from 12 deliveries with 2 sixes. Beside Patel, Puspa Thapa and Subodh Bhati managed to hold a wicket for Goldens.

United were rightly on game with amazing pull back from their lower-middle order batsmen but it only took 18 balls for Subodh Bhati to swung the pendulum in Golden’s side. Bhati along with Amit Shrestha opened the inning for Goldens and shared 76 runs partnetship in 33 balls. Bhati was leading the partnership with blistering inning of 52 runs from 18 balls. It only took 16 balls for him to touched half-century’s milestone. He smashed 5 sixes and 4 fours before Bhandari found him out of crease off Bhuwan Karki’s delivery. Then, man with golden arm picked up Shrestha’s wicket in his very first over. Shrestha scored  26 runs off 19 balls with the help of 5 fours. After then, Malla (25) and Bhupendra Thapa (15) drove the Goldens total. In the end, Budayair (07)* and Patel (05)* helped Goldens to cross the finishing rope with 10 balls to spare to registered 5 wickets victory. For United, Mehra picked up maximum 2 wickets where Bista, Chhetri and Karki picked up a wicket each.

With this victory, Kathmandu Goldens will meet Team Chauraha Dhangadhi tomorrow in the final of Ruslan Dhangadhi Premier League.
