Challenger’s batters let down Gauchan’s decision and handed comfortable victory against Attariya

Kamal Airee’s splendid display of bowling helped CYC Attariya to register their first win of the tournament. Airee bagged four wickets in his bowling quota of 4 overs.

Winning the toss, Rupandehi Challengers opted to first on SSP’s tricky track. Unfortunately, Gauchan’s army didn’t proved his decision right as Challengers lost their opener Pradeep Airee (00) on the first over of the inning. Krishna Karki sent back Airee on the first ball of the inning. Incoming batter, Bikram Bhusal (08) too couldn’t hold for long as he departed off Kamal Airee’s bowling in second over itself. Wicket’s chine didn’t stopped here as Sagar Pun (00) returned back to pavilion on very next delivery itself. Attariya’s bowlers continued the same momentum and picked up wickets on regular succession, hence Challengers bundled-out on small total of 61 run within 16th overs. Sufyan Mehmood topped their batting chart with unbeaten 20 runs. Providing perfect company to Airee, Urao picked up 3 wickets.

In response, skipper Khakurel took on Challengers bowlers and provided his team a blistering start. He scored 19 runs off 13 balls with four hit to the fence. After departure of Khakurel, Tamang hold one end where incoming Chitkara continued their skipper’s momentum. Tamang scored 14 runs off 19 runs while Chitkara scored 30 runs off 13 balls. Chitkara smashed 2 fours and 3 sixes to finished up the match within 8th over to sealed 9 wickets victory for Attariya. Mukhiya picked up only a wicket for Challengers.

Attariya will face Team Chauraha Dhangadhi where Challengers will meet Kathmandu Goldens on tomorrow double header clash.
