Milan Cricket Club beat Patriotic Cricket Training Centre by 28-run to lead three-match Twenty20 series by 1-0 scoreline at Turkeni Khel Maidan Kakarvitta on Friday.
Electing to field first, Patriotic bundled-out Milan on 88 runs in 18.5 overs. In reply, Patriotic could only muster 60 allout as experience campaigner Abishek Shrestha picked five wicket-haul.
Second Twenty20 match will take place on Monday followed by third one on Thursday.
Chasing the target, Patriotic were falling out quickly with 12-5 in seven over before Deepu scored 37-ball 22 that included a six over mid-wicket fence. Likewise, Dipen Gurung added nine runs off 22 balls while Bhupal Dangal chipped in with seven off 14 deliveries. Saujan Ghimire also added 5-ball 7 with a six.
Abishek returned the exceptional figures of 5-9 in his three overs for the winning side.
Earlier, Sangam Budathoki picked three wickets giving away 12 runs in his four overs. Similarly, Aashirbad Upreti also returned the figures of 2-12 in his three overs.
Deepu — who performed with the bat — also had good time with the ball. He picked two wickets giving away 16 runs in his four overs.
Pawan Karma scored 27 runs off 31 balls for Milan Cricket Club. Manish Kharel also contributed 25-ball 12 for the host.
