Nepal sealed the title of ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier Asia ‘B’.

Nepal won 5 matches with a washout match to collect 11 runs from 6 matches to put themselves on the top of points table. Singapore and Malaysia also booked their place in ICC World Twenty20 Asia Qualifier with 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Nepal and Singapore won equal 5 matches and shared a points against each other due to rain, but Nepal overtook Singapore on net runrate to seal the title. Mentioned top 3 sides will meet UAE, Kuwait and Qatar next year. Top 2 sides from that tournament will find themselves on Global Qualifier of World Twenty20.

Nepal and Singapore shared a point each as rain interrupted the play.

Nepal’s leader, Paras Khadka, won the toss and asked Singapore to bat first. Sompal Kami provided Nepal first breakthrough in very second ball of the innings as he sent back Dutta (04). Nepal kept on taking wickets on regular interval as a result of which Singapore lost all 10 wickets inside 18th over. Sandeep Lamichhane picked up maximum 4 wickets for Himalayan nation followed by 2 wickets each for pace bowling duo, Sompal Kami and Karan KC. Basant Regmi and Lalit Rajbanshi also accounted a wicket each.

Singapore took Nepal’s opener, Anil Sah’s wicket on the second ball of the second innings but rain came to play after a very next delivery. Razzak was the man with early wicket for Singapore.
