Steve Smith and David Warner handed a year banned for ball tempering saga.

Cameron Bancroft, meanwhile, has been hit with a nine month ban after an investigation into who was involved in the process that led to Bancroft attempting to alter the condition of the ball with sticky yellow tape during the third Test against South Africa concluded that the premeditated plan was limited to just three players. This shameful incident hit David Warner and Steve Smith very hard. David Warner stepped down as Sunriser Hyderabad captain where his deputy Smith decided to quit IPl contract considering security issue.
