After a historical U19 Youth Asia Cup, Binod Das and co. turn around their concentration towards their new weapons. The selection committee which include U19 head coach Binod Das, coaches Dipendra Chaudary, Jung Bd. Thapa and ICC representative Venkatpathy had prepared the 22 players name list for the closed camp of ACC U16 Asia Cup Eastern Level Qualifier. Previously 45 players were selected as the probables for Nepal U16 team squad. 36 players were selected through talent hunt programmes whereas selection committee had selected 9 more players. As per their performance on the some recently held practice matches, 22 players move a step forward where rest failed to do more this time.
Talent hunt programmes in nine region were held by Sushil Koirala foundation under the surveillance of selection committee. Sushil Koirala foundation has sign a agreement to bear all expenses of training camp and closed camp. We are yet to get the name of selected 22 players. ACC U16 Asia Cup Eastern Level Qualifier will be held on Thailand from December (9-17) 2017 . 8 teams will be fighting out for the one spot of ACC U16 Asia Cup 2018. Tournament consists of two groups having four four teams on each group. Group ‘A’ consists of U16 teams of Nepal, Thailand, Hong Kong and Myanmar whereas Group ‘B’ consists of U16 teams of Malaysia, Singapore, China and Bhutan.
