Rishabh Karak played a knock of 73 runs off 58 balls, allowing Cricket Academy of Siraha to defeat Milan Cricket Club by 23-run in their first match of first Jhapa tour on Monday at Turkeni Khel Maidan.
Chasing 137, Milan got off to the decent start as Pawan Mahato smashed Siraha’s bowlers all round the park and scored 36-ball 70 that included nine sixes and a four. Milan was comfortably glancing to the victory before two of the experience campaigner — Abhisekh Shrestha and Arjoti Malik — returned back in successive overs with miscommunication in running between the wicket. Grishal Paudel was second on run scoring chart with 16 off 37 balls. Ashok Yadav took care of Milan’s lower-order with four wickets in his two overs, giving away just three runs.
Earlier, Rishabh Karak top scored for Siraha with unbeaten 73 runs. He hits five sixes and three fours. Anish Karki returned the exceptional figures of 4-9 in his four overs.
Siraha will face Jhapa XI on Tuesday as their second match of the tourney. Jhapa XI will have players from Patriotic Cricket Training Centre and United Cricket Training Centre.
