KKXI invites applications for head coach

Kathmandu Kings XI (KKXI), on Wednesday, invited applications for the head coach’s job of their franchise team for the upcoming season of Everest Premier League 2021. This comes after former Nepal cricket team captain Binod Das, who was acting as the head coach for the franchise since 2017, appointed as cricket manager of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) in December 2020.

While it will be a one-year term, the candidate should have a minimum of two-year coaching experience with any professional cricket team followed by a minimum of ICC/ACC or CA level two or above cricket coaching qualification. The candidate must have featured in First-Class or international level games.

Although the position is wide open for coaches around the world, Nepalese nationality male candidate below the age of 50 are favourites.

The major responsibility of the post is slated as manage cricket operations including strategy, programs and performance
management.

The main objective of the franchise is to set the new standard in terms of franchise team in Nepal and play their part in commercialising cricket in Nepal. Sandeep Lamichhane is signed as the marquee player of the franchise as they trade out Sompal Kami. 

Tele Holdings Pvt. Ltd’s KKXI requested interested and qualified candidates to submit a full Curriculum Vitae with a cover letter explaining their motivation in applying for the job and highlighting their relevant skills and experience. The franchise will welcome all the application through team@kathmandukingsxi.com till 20th July 2021.

Meanwhile, Kings XI already started their pre-season preparation as they decided to continue with Dr Sagar Pandey as their physiotherapist. Pandey is an experienced campaigner as they already served for different franchise team and acted as Sports Physio in SAG-2019.
