Mohammad Naveed is very close to be a part of second edition of Everest Premier League ( Nepal T20 franchise league).
Pace bowling all-rounder from UAE is all set to make his first ever appearance in Nepal’s leading T20 league, Everest Premier League ( EPL). Veteran Emirates player Naveed(If Signed) will be the second player from his nation to play EPL as his nation’s captain, Rohan Mustafa, already confirmed to be part of Kathmandu Kings XI.
As per the news on Sport360°, Naveed will be part of Vesawkar’s Gladiators. Last years runner-up Bhairawaha Gladiators is very close to sign Naveed as their first foreign player of the season. “I’m very close to signing the contract and it’s a tournament that I am looking forward to playing in. The Everest Premier League is a very good league which is growing and is attracting top internationals,” Naveed told Sport360°.
Gladiators haven’t made any official announcement yet but that is expected to come soon. Naveed has played 22 T20 international matches for his nation, taking 29 wickets at any very impressive average of 17.27. He also has 31 ODI matches experience along with 72 List-A matches for UAE. He was part of Toronto Nationals inaugural season of Global T20 Canada along with Rohan Mustafa.
“It is great that I have been given another chance to play in a T20 league as I have played in the Global T20 Canada and Hong Kong Blitz tournaments. I have been playing very well in the last 18 months so that gives me confidence of doing well,” he added to Sport360°.
