India U19 A thrashed Nepal U19 and produced 8 wickets victory.

Electing to bat first, Nepal posted under par total of 156 runs on board. All their batsmen were in dressing room within 46th overs. They were 5th down, scoring 141 runs in 40th over. But Nepal’s lower middle order batsmen failed dramatically as they lost last 6 wickets for 15 runs. Earlier, Nepal started their innings poorly as they were 3 down for 23 runs. Then, Trit Raj Das and Sandeep Zora did lots of hard work to bring them back on track. They shared 69 runs before Das was trapped in front of wicket by Jaiswal. Das made fighting 46 runs off 86 balls. Incoming Bhim Sharki shared 49 runs with Zora. Zora scored maximum 66 runs from 93 balls. Bhim Sharki contributed handy 28 runs from 46 deliveries. Mangwani picked up 4 wickets and played his important part in Nepal’s collapsed in later half of their innings. Ajay Dev Goud also picked up 4 wickets for India.

In reply, India chased it down quite comprehensively. They completed the required task with 155 balls to spare. Nepal took a early wicket but failed to find another till 14th over hence they faced a humiliating lose. For India, Rathod scored unbeaten 59 runs off 68 balls. Opening batsman and captain of the side, Rawat also contributed 47 runs. Singh played his part with unbeaten 46 runs. For Nepal, Kamal Airee and Pawan Sarraf picked up a wicket each.

Nepal U19 will face Afghanistan U19 on 16th September whereas India U19 A will take challenge of India U19 B on same day.
