Bunch of Nepalese adolescent boy showed outstanding performance and trashed Thailand U16 by 133 runs today at Terdthai Cricket Ground. Nepal U16 won the toss and opted to bat first. Nepal’s opener had started a inning pretty well with aggressive mentality today. Rajan Magar and Kushal Malla duo had added 33 runs in the board before Rajan Magar got out on his personal score of 18 runs. Kushal Malla too got out very quickly after Rajan. He scored 24 runs off 22 balls. Nepal lost more two wickets quickly but 43 runs partnership between Sunil Bhandari and Trit Raj das for 5th wicket ensured Nepal contentment total of 179 runs. Sunil Bhandari scored 23 runs where his partner Trit Raj Das scored maximum 39 runs for Nepal. For Thailand, Kokiat Chatwong took 3 wicket whereas Kongkidokon Ruengrotehanchai and Chiraphong Liangwichian grabbed two-two wicket each. Thiraphat Konthong and Sarawut Maliwan also got succeed to contributed a wicket each for Thailand.
In reply, Thailand batsman seems answerless to Nepal’s bowlers as they got all-out on the slim total of 46 runs. No any Thailand batsman succeed to touch the double figure expect Kokiat Chatwong. Kokiat had taken three wicket earlier and contributed 11 valuable runs to his team with batting at no.11. Narayan Joshi completely destroyed the backbone of Thailand top order as top 4 batsman of Thailand failed to open their account. Thailand Opener Phiriyapong, Thiraphat got out on duck where no.3 and 4 batsman too got out on zero. For Nepal Narayan Joshi lead the bowling card with 5 wicket where Surya Tamang also took 2 wicket. Nikhil Singh and Bishal KC also chipped in with a wicket each.
Nepal U16 will play against Hong Kong U16 tomorrow at same venue where host Thailand U16 will face the challenge of Myanmar U16. Tournament is being played by Round-Robin method with 35 overs of each inning.
