PSL Draft : Lamichhane to play yet another T20 franchise league, Kami went unsold

Nepal’s spin bowling sensational, Sandeep Lamichhane, has been purchased by Lahore Qalandars for fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

One of six PSL’s franchise team, Lahore Qalandars, picked Nepal’s Lamichhane as their first pick of Gold Category. On today held draft, Qalandars picked Lamichhane along with cricketing icon AB De Villiers, Carlos Brathwaite and Corey Anderson etc. All though his remuneration is not fixed, but he will get around $50,000 to $70,000. Lamichhane’s countryman, Sompal Kami, was also listed in draft list on Silver Category (foreign) but went unsold. Bahind Lamichhane, Kami is second Nepalese player to get listed in foreign franchise league’s draft/auction. Starting with Indian Premier League, Lamichhane, has already participated in Global T20 League, Caribbean Premier League, Afghanistan Premier League this year. Spin sensational Lamichhane is also set to represent Melbourne Stars in upcoming Australia’s Big Bash League and he will also take part in Bangladesh Premier League’s coming season. Currently, Lamichhane is in UAE, to play UAE T10x, representing Morgan’s Karachi King.

The new PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani announced on 15 September that tournament will commence on 14 February 2019 in UAE, and the last 8 matches will be held in Pakistan along with the final that will be played on 17 March in Karachi.
