Unbeaten India booked the place in the semifinal of Women’s World T20.
India booked the placed in semifinal of the tournament after beating Ireland by 52 runs. They joined Australia as the second team from group B to qualify for the knockout stage.
Ireland won the toss and asked India to bat first. India started it with 67 runs opening stand between Mithali Raj(51) and Smriti Mandhana(33). India finished it up with 145 runs in allocated 20 overs. 18 year young Irish lady, Lucy, took maximum 2 wickets in first innings.
Chasing 145 runs Ireland womens fell 52 runs behind. They managed to score 93 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Isobel Joyce scored maximum 33 runs for Ireland. Spinner Radha Yadav took 3 wickets for the India.
