Pakistan registered huge win against Australia to seal the series by 1-0 scoreline.
Winning the toss, Pakistan elected to bat first against Australia in Abu Dhabi. Fakhar Zaman and Sarfraz Ahmed’s respective 94 runs helped Pakistan to post 282 runs’ first innings score. Aussies’ spinning backbone, Nathan Lyon picked up maximum 4 wickets to restrict Pakistan. In reply, Australia were clueless against Mohammad Abbas as he sent back 5 Aussies’ batsmen. Opener, Finch’s 39 and Starc’s 34 guided Australia to 145 runs. Pakistan were 137 runs ahead before adding 400 runs in second innings. Azam (99), Ahmed (81), Zaman (66) and Ali (64) combined effort helped Pakistan to set the target of 538 runs. Lyon was exceptional yet again as he bagged 4 more wickets in his tally. Abbas, who picked 5 wickets earlier, picked 5 more this time to dig out 373 runs’ victory for Pakistan.
