Hassan dominated the day and helped Afghanistan U-19 to beat Nepal U-19 comprehensively.

Mehran, the Afghanistan’s captain, won the toss and asked his warriors to bat first against Nepal, who was riding high on confidence with a win two days back. Afghanistan’s opener and most consistent batsman of the series, Hassan, hold one end and guided them to 244 runs in inscribed 50 overs. Hassan smashed unbeaten 117 runs, facing 149 deliveries. Shir was second highest run getter for Afghans as he added 32 runs in his tally, 85 runs less than Hassan. Sagar Dhakal, Pawan Sarraf and Samsad Alam picked up 2 wickets each followed by a wicket for Rashid Khan.

Nepal commenced their chase with 41balls- 25 runs opening stand between Rit Gautam (14) and captain Aasif Sheikh (25). Arun Airee, who batted at no.3, faced 48 balls to score 24 runs. Zora played run-of-ball 18 run’s innings. Lokesh Bam consumed 46 balls to score 25 runs whereas Kamal Singh Airee scored 11 runs off 5 balls. Pawan Sarraf also hung for while with 23 runs. Hence, almost every Nepal’s batsmen got start but they failed to capitalize on it to concede 71 run’s defeat. Hassan was on the moon with 4 wickets in his account. He single handedly outplayed Nepal’s and needless to say, he was adjudged as man of the match.

Afghanistan finished with 3rd place in the four teams participating quadrangular series whereas Nepal finished in 4th and last spot.
