Khadka-Kami took Nepal to fight able total

Khadka’s watchful innings along with Kami’s blistering innings propelled Nepal to the modest total of 216 runs.

Nepal opted to bat first after winning the toss. Malla and Khakurel came out to open the innings for Nepal. They were watchful in the early phase but Klaassen’s classical delivery dismissed Malla (13). Klaassen sent back Sah (04) in the last ball of same over. Klaassen again dismissed Khakurel (19) to put Nepal under deep pressure. Nepal were 3 down under the score of 50 runs. Then, Khadka-Airee shared 25 runs for 4th wicket. They were looking settled before Khadka’s misjudged cause a big damage for Nepal as they lost Airee (19). Clearly, there was no run but Airee did well to sacrifice his wicket for skipper Khadka, who moved on and registered his first half-century in ODI. Khadka smashed 51 runs off 69 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Sheikh hung there for long time, facing 46 balls but couldn’t score freely as his struggling innings ended on his personal score of 16 runs. Nepal were down and out with lost of 7 wickets within 158 runs. Thanks to brilliant innings from Sompal Kami at decisive part where he scored 61 runs taking just 46 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Nepal recorded 216 runs losing all 10 wickets in 48.5 overs. Dutch premium pace bowler, Klaassen took 3 wickets in his worthy spell of 10 overs, expensing just 38 runs. Skipper Seelaar also picked up 2 wickets.

Now Netherlands require 217 runs in 300 balls to win.
