He was on the 276 number of Vivo IPL auction list with a base price of 20 lakh Indian Currency. He got sold for his base prize as Delhi only bid for him. This leg-spinner could a lay vital role for Delhi, if he get chance. Daredevils officials looked delighted after deputed him on his base prize.

Delhi Daredevils were rather more conservative and were rather a skinflint side. The owners of the national capital team were concerned with building the best squad with the least spent money and in the process brought some really young legs to the side. DD bought the current India U19 skipper Prithvi Shaw for Rs 1.2 crore. Apart from the young player, the local boy Gautam Gambhir will also be coming back home for Rs 2.8 crore. Daredevils also stole Glenn Maxwell from Kings XI Punjab for Rs 9 crore. DD had earlier retained Rishabh Pant, Chris Morris and Shreyas Iyer during the IPL retention 2018.
