Bhairahawa Gladiators sealed the 4 wickets victory against Chitwan Tigers. Winning the toss, Gladiators won the toss and opted to field first and succeed to restrict Tigers in the miniaturised total of 87 runs with the help of excellent spells from their Skipper, Vesawkar. Sharad Vesawkar bowled 4 overs and expensed just 12 runs and picked up 3 wickets. He sent back Dilip Nath, Puneet Gupta and Yogendra Karki into the pavilion. Bhuwan Karki and Hari Shankar Shah also picked up 2 wickets each. For Tigers, Dipendra Airee and Yogendra KarkI scored 15 runs each. Hence, Chitwan Tigers posted the tiny total of 87 runs with the lost of 9 wickets in respective 20 over’s.
In reply, Tigers spinning duo, Shahab Alam and Punit Gupta started their bowling perfectly and provided them a ideal start. They sent back Salunke and Airee in their respective first over. But later on, Rohit Paudel and Puneet Mehera shared 46 runs partnership and comfortably take their side towards victory. Mehera scored 30 runs in 29 balls with 3 fours while Rohit Paudel scored 20 runs off 40 balls. Krishna Karki unbeaten 9 runs successfully crossed the target in 18.3 over’s.
With this Gladiators will remained at second spot and will play against Biratnagar Warriors tomorrow as first qualifier. Chitwan Tigers champaign has finished with this lost and will remained at the bottom of the league table.
