Bunk of thousand of Nepalese student, office leave of many staffs and immense hard work of Nepalese cricket players paid off as they won the match against India U19 to keep their hope alive in the ongoing Youth Asia Cup. Nepal Under19 won the match by the margin of 19 runs and created history. Winning the toss, skipper Airee opted to bat first Nepal posted the below-par total of 185 runs on board.
Skipper Dipendra Airee himself step up and score 88 runs off 101 balls with the help of six 4s and two 6s to maximize the Nepalese score. Opener Jitendra Singh also made well composed 36 runs off 96 balls. For India Abishek Sharma and Aditya Thakare picked up two wickets each where Mandeep Singh, Shiva Singh, Arhava and Vivekanan Tiwary also managed to grab a wicket each. In reply, India has started their inning on strong note. Both of the openers have scored 30+ runs as Himanshu Rana scored 46 runs off 38 balls where Manjot Kalra scored 35 runs off 69 balls. Once India was on the score of 91 for 1 then wickets started falling at regular intervals which cost them a 19 runs loss against Nepal. For Nepal, it was the day of their skipper Airee as he picked up 4 wickets.

Pawan Sarraf and Shahab Alam picked up two wickets each where Sandeep Lamichhane and Kamal Airee also succeed to grabbed a wicket each. Nepal will face the challenge of Malaysia on November 14 where India will face Bangladesh tomorrow. Both teams need to win their last match at any cost to make their spot in the semi-final of the tournament.
