Bangladesh U19 achieved a struggling won over Nepal U19 to lead the three-match ODI Youth series. Losing the toss, Nepal got forced to bat first on today morning. Bangladesh strike bowler Hasan Mahmud replied positive to his captain call and strike the first wicket for Bangladesh in the second over itself after dismissing Nepal’s opener Sandeep Sunar for the score of one. After then Aarif Sheikh continued the Nepal inning along with Anil Kumar Shah but Anil was very unlucky to get out after a start. Nepal posted the target of 154 runs in front of Bangladesh on stipulated 50 over of play. Aarif Sheikh top their scorecard with 33 runs off 77 balls. Bhim Sharki and Pawan Sharaf also scored 28 runs and 19 runs respectively. To restricted Nepal on below par total Bangladesh, two of strike bowler Hasan Mahmud and Kazi Anik took three wickets each. While Nayeem Hasan also took two wickets and Shawkat also succeed to put a wicket in his pocket. Bangladesh reply wasn’t as easy as predicted as Nepal keep on chipping wickets at the regular time of intervals. Leg spin sensational Sandeep Lamichhane make the tiger’s job tough with 4 wickets on his ten over of bowling spell. While Pawan Sharaf and Shahab Alam too took a wicket each. Bangladesh opener Naim Sheikh scored a half-century before he got stumped off Sandeep Lamichhhane. He scores 53 runs off 66 balls to seal a victory for his team. Towhid Hridly and Kazi Anik played not out knock of 48 runs and 18 runs respectively to make sure that their batting won’t got collapsed at the end. Kazi Anik was declared as Man Of The Match for his all-round contribution in the game. second ODI will be played at the same venue on 4th of November.
