Pakistan is likely to host ACC Emerging Cup 2018 | Nepal Need to Follow Qualification Process


Pakistan is likely to host the ACC Emerging Cup. 6 ACC members including 5 test members and 1 qualifier will constitute the ACC Emerging Nations Cup which is to be held in April 2018 in Pakistan.

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Afghanistan are the 5 test members, who will play in the tournament along with a qualifier from the qualification tournament. It’s yet to be announced about the fixtures and venue of Qualifications tournament. One among UAE, HongKong, and Nepal are the most likely candidate to fill that sixth spot of the tournament. Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Najam Sethi announced, that following the ACC meeting in Lahore, the decision was made and he hoped that India will send their team to Pakistan to take part in the event. Sumithipala called on Cricket Boards of Asia to support each other and said the Sri Lankan government had agreed to send the team to play in Lahore with the same spirit. Any further details about the qualification in the tournament were not announced at the conclusion of the meeting.
