Sachin Tendulkar‘s first ODI century today in 1994 – 22 years ago (110 runs in 130 balls, with 8 fours and 2 sixes) – the year many of today’s star were born including Jasprit Bumrah, Akshar Patel, Ashton Agar etc.
It’s been exactly 22 years since Sachin Tendulkar scored his first Century in an ODI against Australian Cricket Team at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. Since then, he managed to make 100 100s and broke 100s of records and made 100s of them.
Sambit Bal – a senior editor at ESPNCricinfo writes “Sachin Tendulkar has been the complete batsman of his time, the most prolific runmaker of all time, and arguably the biggest cricket icon the game has ever known”. Twenty-two years and his remarkable cricketing journey, tons of profound records can easily justify Bal’s statement.
He was no prodigy, hadn’t any special ability apart from any other cricketers who started journey along with him. Most of his colleague were lost in the wind and some of them remain alive to venerate and to honor him.

Sachin Tendulkar had a great passion, dedication, and hardworking ability to execute and to prove what he was born for – cricket. He is undoubtedly the most respected human being in the world of cricket, and more specifically a true sportsman representing the gentleman’s game.
