  • Happy birthday to destructive English wicket-keeping batsman Jos Buttler. He has scored nearly 8,000 runs across all formats and also holds the record for the fastest century for his country.
  • England and Australia facing each other for the third Twenty20 match of the series on September 8 (today) with the International Cricket Council (ICC) Twenty20 International team ranking’s first position on stake. England already sealed the series with a 2-0 lead but they still have plenty to play for, as the winner will occupy the top position of the ranking.
  • Afghanistan’s domestic coach, Noor Mohammad, handed a five-year ban for spot-fixing in their primary domestic league, Shpageeza Cricket League 2019.
  • Sandeep Lamichhane’s Jamaica Tallawahs will be facing Trinbago Knight Riders tonight (September 9) in the first Semi-Final of Caribbean Premier League 2020.
  • Happy Birthday to the man of the series of ICC Under-19 World Cup 2018, Shubman Gill. He scored 418 runs at an average of 104.50 in India’s fourth title of the Under-19 World Cup.
